Fifty years in one area changes how you work. When you build in the same towns for that long, every job you do is seen by the people who might give you the next one. There is no moving on to a fresh set of customers in a different county. That is the best reason we know to do the work properly.

Being family run is part of the same thing. You deal with Andy, not a call centre or a rotating cast of managers. The person who quotes the job is answerable for the job. And because the firm handles the drawings as well as the build, there is one team responsible from the first line on paper to the day you get the keys.

We take on the full range. A £30,000 extension for a growing family and a £3,000,000 new build are both our work, though the jobs closest to what we do best are design and build, extensions and refurbishments. Across West Cornwall that means everything from a granite cottage in St Ives to a new home outside Hayle, each one built for the ground it stands on and the weather it has to face.
